The Mirror: Level I

May-October 2024 - PROGRAM FULL

You are here because you know the life altering potency of intentional dreamwork. This work is imprinted in your ancestral codes, vibrant to the bird-calls of the living earth, and seeded in the moon-tide blood of your body. You are here because dreamwork is more than interpretation or analyzation, it is a way of seeing. It is a way of living.

The Mirror offers a 6 month container to hone your seeing and enhance your living and loving. It is both a dreamwork training and a facilitator training. It will offer you the skills and practice needed to ethically and effectively incorporate this manner of dreamwork into your life, your practice, and your work.

This program will invite you to cultivate and polish the integral skills of dream mirroring , developing a safe and trusted space with a client or group, and guide yourself and other into state of non-ordinary reality to retrieve powerful insights, wisdom, and healing.

Prerequisite: At least one of my dream classes including past courses held through The Shift Network. Dream classes that qualify are: Dreaming with Bees, Betwixt and Between, Entwine, Dream Seeking, Intentional Dreaming (Shift Network), Dreaming with Nature Spirits (Shift Network). Exceptions are possible upon request.

 

The Program Form

The program will take place over 6 months, with 3 primary methods of learning.

Live Sessions

Monthly 2 hour live sessions with Ariella. Held Wednesdays at 12pm PT. These sessions will involve teachings and practice.

Peer Mirroring

You will be assigned to a dream mirroring pair and asked to complete 3 dream mirroring sessions a month with your partner in your own time. At times these sessions will be adapted to other practices, but will center around the art of consistent mirroring.

Experiential Sessions

These sessions will be dispersed throughout the program and center around the practice and demonstration of the skills taught.

The Program

 

Part 1:

Mirroring and Intention

May 2024

This month will focus on the practice and architecture of dream mirroring.

It will include:

  • How to drop in, and why we do so before mirroring

  • Dream incubation vs intentional dreaming

  • How to create dream intentions

  • What mirroring is and why it’s unique

  • How to support deepening into the ability to mirror


Part 2:

Shamanic and Animistic Dreamwork

June 2024

This module will focus on the difference between dreamwork when approached as symbolic, and dreamwork when approached with an awareness of the animate spirit of the dream. We will work with the idea of spirit-led dreaming and the invitation to dream with spirit guides.

This session will include:

• Active dreaming with spirit

• A deeper understanding of animism in dreamwork

• The process of hollowing out

• The beginning steps of merging work

Part 3:

The Hypnogogic State

July 2024

This month will focus on working with the state between waking and sleeping. This live session will take on a very different flavor than previous sessions.

  • What is the hypnogogic state and why we work with it

  • How to cultivate the hypnogogic state

  • Threads as a tool for dreaming

  • Dreamwork hygiene

 

Part 4:

Nightmares

August 2024

Nightmares can plague our sleep, but also act as doorways into deeper healing. In this part we will look at nightmares from both a practical standpoint, as well as a spirit-led view.

  • How to work with your own nightmares

  • How to effectively mirror nightmares in a way that is beneficial to the dreamer

  • The hidden healing in nightmares

  • Identifying types of nightmares and how to approach them

Part 5:

Embodied Dreamwork

September 2024

This month we will turn to the body as not only a dreaming vessel but as an oracular vessel.

  • The purpose and benefits of sensory recapitulation

  • Somatic Dreaming Parts - a method of dream discovery that supports the dreamer finding their own truths.

  • The beginning states of oracular dream mirror and development

Part 6:

Integration and Facilitation

October 2024

This month will focus on integrating all you’ve learned, as well as tips, tools, and protocols for dreamwork as a facilitator.

  • Learn the protocol for preparing a client for oracular dream mirroring

  • The ins and outs of dream circles

  • How to facilitate a dreaming circle or a one-on-one dreamwork session

  • Incorporating dreamwork into your own body of work

Tuition can be paid in full, or in the following payment plans. Not that if selecting a payment plan, your first payment is due before the start of the program on May 29.

2 payments: $1000

4 payments: $510 each

6 payments (monthly): $340

Some Fine Print

This program is a prerequisite for Level II. To be invited onto the Level II program, which starts January 2025, you will need to have met all the course requirements and practice sessions, including regular dream mirroring in your dreaming pair.

This course will support you not only as a dreamer, but as someone who can facilitate and hold dream circles, sessions, and teachings for others. While you can always continue on your own without completing the course, completion of the program will earn you my endorsement as a dream mirroring facilitator and a certificate of completion.

Space is limited, therefore cancellations are taken seriously. Cancellations and withdrawals will be accepted until June 1. Cancellations by May 1 will receive a full refund. Cancellations between May 1 and June 1 will receive a partial refund, less $340 for the initial month’s fee. Cancellations after June 1 will not receive a refund for money already paid, however, your tuition can be applied toward the same program at a different time, or another qualifying course. This includes The Women’s Beekeeping Apprenticeship, or any dream course offered at Honey Bee Wild.
